Every year, over 250,000 horses are transported to distant countries to be slaughtered. This was probably the fate that awaited Belinda as a foal. But the truck had an accident and Belinda was seriously injured, as her owner told us. She had nursed the mare back to health and kept her as a leisure horse. But when the finances are no longer sufficient, the animal ultimately becomes a burden. An Aiderbichler asked us, on behalf of the animal lover, to take Belinda in, because she should never have to be transported to slaughter again - this had to be prevented at all costs. So Belinda came to us at Gut Aiderbichl.
