For escape animals, life in the circus ring is associated with pressure, stress and coercion. We have often adopted horses from the circus, and in every single case we have had to realize this: The trauma is deep-seated, but the animals feel the chance of a new life. One young trainer was very attached to her protégés, but they were to be sold because the circus act did not bring the desired success. We bought the "7 dwarves" free and brought them to Gut Aiderbichl. The tamer knew that nothing would happen to her ponies at Gut Aiderbichl and that they would be allowed to stay until the end of their natural lives. She was allowed to perform the tricks she had practiced with her protégés one last time before the seven started their new lives.
