We will never forget the images of the flood of the century in Deggendorf in 2013. Many livelihoods were destroyed and many animals lost their lives in the flood waters. The Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf team did everything they could at the time to help as many animals as possible and save their lives. Entire farms were evacuated and the cattle were temporarily housed at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf. This included Burle's mother and her stable sisters. Their farmer's wife Traudl was always at their side. After a few days, Traudl approached Michael Aufhauser with the question "Can my cattle and I stay with you? Of course we said yes, and so Loretta became an Aiderbichler. Burle saw the light of day at Gut Aiderbichl.
