Clara belongs to the so-called Zackel sheep, which are considered to be very robust and hardy. They originate from the Hungarian Pustza and have been considered endangered since 1903. With a lot of effort and ingenuity, this wonderful breed has been saved for modern times, but the danger is not over yet. In our fast-moving times, Zackel sheep have almost no place. Gery Keszler, the founder and long-time organizer of the Life Ball, recognized the plight of these animals and wanted to help. A small herd lives on his property, which he lovingly looks after. But when this herd became too large, he asked Gut Aiderbichl for help. So Claria became an Aiderbichler and gave little Zafira the gift of life at Gut Aiderbichl.
