Anyone who has money can buy animals and sell them again, no matter where and for what. In the case of Evelyn, a beautiful Haflinger mare, the owner had decided to lock his horses in the stable. Although this does not comply with the law, where there is no plaintiff, there is no judge. It took over 8 years for the veterinary office to intervene and remove 19 horses from a stable that was filled almost to the ceiling with manure. All but the well-behaved Haflinger mare could be rehomed. The loyal Aiderbichler Kathrin Glock asked to take in the pregnant mare Evelyn and on April 4th Evelyn gave birth to her filly Kathrin.
