The situation with goats is the same as with cattle. Male animals are completely uninteresting for the dairy industry. The only way left for them is to be slaughtered. Herbert Elvis belongs to the Saanen goat breed, which is often used for dairy farming. He too would have been destined for a fate as roast kid. He was lucky - he was born on the farm of an Aiderbichler woman who didn't want to do that to him. She asked us to take him in so that Herbert Elvis could live in peace. When he arrived at Gut Aiderbichl, he immediately made the estate unsafe and greeted our visitors with incredible warmth. It was as if he had done nothing else all his life.
