We received an email from the Salzburger Land region. Herold the donkey and Jonathan the pony were looking for a new home. A farmer's wife had the animals around her all her life. At some point she retired and the farm was handed over to the next generation. The cattle farm now became a riding stable. The farmer's wife only wanted to keep one stall as her own: the stall for Herold and Jonathan. Happy years passed and it was a time full of love for them. But now love had to give way to reason. The farmer's wife fell seriously ill and was no longer able to care for the animals on her own, and help from the family could not be expected in the long term. There were people who offered to help her, but she didn't want to employ Herold and Jonathan elsewhere. "You have to know your way around animals ... They should be well looked after" - she was probably right. A solution had to be found: and so the two of them came to Gut Aiderbichl.
