The flood of the century in 2013 in the Deggendorf area was a real test for the entire Gut Aiderbichl team. The staff worked day and night to save as many animal lives and help as many people as possible. So we made our way to the affected areas and asked to be allowed to evacuate the people with their animals. Entire stables were evacuated by the Gut Aiderbichl team and housed at Gut Aiderbichl for the time being. Unfortunately, we were not able to help every animal, as many lost their lives in the incredible masses of water. But we were able to save Indira's life and that of her stable sisters. The farmer's wife always stayed by her animals' side. A few days later, farmer Traudl approached us with a special request: "Can my cattle and I stay with you?". Now the animals are Aiderbichler.
