At a time when we were struggling with uncertainty ourselves, we received an emergency call from a riding school that had to close. The seven oldest riding school horses were unlikely to find new owners and their euthanasia was already being considered. Slaughter was not an option for either the owners or the riding students. A group of riding students came to Gut Aiderbichl on the occasion of a patent meeting and asked for the horses to be taken in. In addition to worrying about Michael Aufhauser's health, Dieter Ehrengruber decided to help these horses. From then on, nothing stood in the way of them moving in.
