The animals' characters are just as different as ours. Some are easy to handle, others less so. Laura belongs more to the second category. She never warmed to vets and farriers, and her treatment was correspondingly difficult. Her owners no longer had the patience or the will to look after an unruly horse and turned their backs on her and her mother Lotte. But both were lucky and were allowed to move into Gut Aiderbichl. In our care, she was also allowed to mourn in peace when her mother peacefully fell asleep forever.
