Liesbeth and her barn friends fell ill with chicken flu and were treated. However, as they lived on a farm that lived from selling eggs, the eggs from the treated chickens could no longer be sold (Food Protection Act) and were therefore no longer economically viable. But simply letting them be slaughtered was not an option for the family either - so they asked the Gut Aiderbichl team to take them in. At Gut Aiderbichl Carinthia, they can be who they are - simply a chicken.
