It was supposed to be a perfectly normal afternoon. A long-time Aiderbichler set off outside to take her dog for a walk. Everything was as usual when suddenly her dog ran towards a ditch, as if remote-controlled. A swan goose was sitting in the ditch, completely terrified. It had obviously injured its wing and could no longer fly. The animal lover took the goose and rushed it to a vet. The terrible diagnosis: a broken wing that could no longer be treated. For the goose, this meant the loss of its independence. Survival in the wild would no longer be possible. The vet gave the animal lover two options. The first was to euthanize the animal. The second option was to amputate the broken wing and keep the animal in captivity. As a long-time Aiderbichler, her next thought fell directly on Gut Aiderbichl. And we were able to say yes and goose Linda is now an Aiderbichler.
