An animal welfare campaigner was contacted by a farmer couple she has known for a long time. They asked the animal lover if she could help them neuter and care for their cats. The animal rights activist agreed and during the course of the phone call she learned that the farmer couple wanted to stop breeding Scottish Highland cattle and that the two remaining animals on the pasture were to be shot. The woman wanted to prevent this at all costs and searched feverishly for a solution - especially for a place. After a long search, she found one, as two old Highland cattle had recently died at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf - Karla and Lisa were allowed to move in.
