When little Manchita came to us from America, she was just two years old. Her owners had turned their backs on her and abandoned her at a shelter in Los Angeles. There was a good chance that she would have been euthanized. Debbie Cravatta, an Aiderbichler from America, also brought us numbers of rescued dogs that made us shudder. In the LA area alone, 8,407 of the 14,590 dogs taken in were euthanized in 2011. Gut Aiderbichl wanted to raise awareness among people by taking in Manchita.
