The owner of Mozart, Nannerl, Sissi and Flora realized that she could no longer take sufficient care of her animals. The aches and pains of old age were making it increasingly difficult to care for the animals. What to do? Keep the animals or sell them? The trade routes are often difficult to trace, and it is not uncommon for the animals to be transported to slaughter in southern and eastern Europe. The animal lover didn't want that. So she turned to a riding stable owner and asked him for help. He himself was unable to help, but contacted Dieter Ehrengruber, the managing director of Gut Aiderbichl. He agreed, and so Nannerl was able to move in. This story makes us realize that it is not the spectacular animal stories that need our attention. It is the issues that affect us all and can happen to us, such as illness or financial problems.
