The beautiful black mare Neele is very cautious and calm. You could almost think she doesn't want to be seen. This reaction is only understandable when you consider what the poor mare had to go through. The terrible animal transport from Romania to Belgium was just the tip of the iceberg. Animal welfare activists were able to stop it, as some of the animals were even injured. Michael Aufhauser was asked for help and immediately agreed to take in all 21 horses for slaughter. With the support of the animal rights activists and an animal-loving couple, the purchase price of more than 30,000 euros was raised. All the horses can stay with us for the rest of their lives!
