Some people just have to help - they can't look away. An animal lover observed two pregnant cats in the sweltering heat in Croatia. There was no loving home where they could have given birth to their babies. Provided with proper papers, they were allowed to enter the country. Shortly afterwards, Ruby gave birth to her three babies. Her rescuer begged us to take in Ruby with her babies and the pregnant Patsy. You have to be very careful here. We also need to protect our own cats from infectious diseases. We don't know how strong the newborns' immune systems are after everything they have already experienced in the womb. Patsy moved into one of our offices. And we built an airy enclosure for Ruby in the foyer of our main building in Henndorf. Cat trees, baskets and wonderful hiding places are lined up there. They should be fine. Then, on 27.06.2011, Patsy's three little ones were born: Dario, Rino and Luka †. Rino is the little adventurer. Always up for a joke and very curious. But he's not just an adventurer at heart, he's also a little romantic.
