The day Rosi was born on a farm in Bavaria, the farmer's wife also moved onto the farm. A particularly close relationship immediately developed between the two. From then on, Rosi was completely fixated on the farmer's wife. This turned out to be to her advantage when tragedy struck the farm. Arson caused the house and the barn, which contained 35 cattle, to go up in flames. The farming family was able to escape outside and tried to save the animals from the fire. In the middle of it all was Rosi the cow, who screamed loudly in panic. When the farmer's wife saw her, she called for Rosi and suddenly she became very calm and went to the farmer's wife, away from the flames. As the barn had burned to the ground, the cattle had to be sold. But Rosi was to be spared this fate. She was allowed to become an Aiderbichler.
