We will never forget the images of the flood of the century in Deggendorf in 2013. Many livelihoods were destroyed and many animals lost their lives in the flood waters. The Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf team did everything they could at the time to help as many animals as possible and save their lives. Entire farms were evacuated and the cattle were temporarily housed at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf. This included Sarotti and her stable sisters. Her farmer's wife Traudl was always at her side. After a few days, Traudl approached Michael Aufhauser with the question "Can my cattle and I stay with you?". Of course we said yes, and so Sarotti became an Aiderbichler.
