An animal lover in Greece saved the lives of around 50 local dogs by fencing off a large plot of land. She rescued the dogs living there from the street, housed them there and looked after them. When fate took her from life at the age of 42, nobody really knew what to do next. Animal lovers who heard about this took care of the dogs and continued to look after them. By chance, Michael Aufhauser became aware of this story and took up the cause of the dogs. One of these 50 dogs was Sunny, who was allowed to enter Germany.
