Tiny was born in 2000 in the stable tent of a traveling circus. He lived through the highs and lows of the family business and was sold to a dealer in February 2009 when the circus was once again in financial difficulties. He offered Tiny for sale at a horse market. A nine-year-old pony is hard to find a buyer for. There are simply far too many young ponies. She also had no papers. The only person interested in Tiny was an Italian "slaughter horse" buyer. Tiny looked well-fed and in Italy her meat could be processed into dog food or salami. But we beat the dealer to it. It turned out three months later why the pony mare looked so well-fed. On May 18, 2009 at 9:15 p.m., she gave birth to the little filly Joyna.
