Where Valentin lived, there was another, much more beautiful donkey stallion. Little Valentin also had a leg deformity that should not be passed on. So he lost his home. We agreed to take him in so that nothing would happen to him. Valentin belongs to the endangered breed of Austro-Hungarian Baroque donkeys, of which there are only around 200 left in the world. Back in the days of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, this donkey breed was considered to bring light and attract good luck. Later, when the white animals were no longer in keeping with contemporary tastes, they were once again used as work animals by shepherds and farmers - the population fell dramatically.
