The sheep Adrian, Alissa, Dea, Eva, Fabian-Mattheo, Martina and Werner were born Aiderbichler. They and their parents belonged to a very special breed of sheep: the so-called Zackel sheep, which originate from the Hungarian Puszta and were rescued into modern times with a great deal of effort and ingenuity. Many breeders, including Gery Keszler, the founder and long-time organizer of the Life Ball, are working to preserve this breed. When Gery Keszler's herd became too large, he asked us for help and so the mothers came into our care and gave them all the gift of life at Gut Aiderbichl.
