Unexpected baby alert

Help us look after over 100 kids and lambs

Caring for so many young animals presents us with major challenges

We already suspected that we would have offspring after our rescue of around 300 sheep and goats last fall. After the desperate call for help from animal rescuer Evi, who had to vacate her sanctuary, we pulled out all the stops. It was a feat of strength, but with the help of our loyal supporters, we were able to bring the herd to us. It soon became apparent that some of the animals were pregnant, as some of them had not been castrated. But nobody could have expected this extent.

Then everything happened in quick succession. To date, more than 100 lambs and kids have been born – and the number is growing all the time! Our animal keepers are working around the clock and both our available space and our financial resources are more than exhausted.

Especially as we have to separate the mothers and babies in the first few weeks. We have set up bunks with heat lamps in our stable tents, but these are now hopelessly overcrowded. Calf igloos are a good alternative, but they cost around 500 euros each. Added to this are the veterinary costs, which are already enormous.

We ask you wholeheartedly for your urgently needed donation so that we can care for the more than 100 newborn lambs and kids!

Every contribution counts! Please help now!
