1000 kilometres to happiness:

Wolfgang Amadeus and Mozart finally here!

A long journey lies behind the three boys Wolfang, Amadeus and Mozart. Adorable mini pigs who are just two years old.

An animal welfare organisation turned to Gut Aiderbichl for help. On a farm in the Schleswig-Flensburg district, 20 mini-pigs were being kept in catastrophic conditions, forcing the veterinary office to remove all the pigs from the farm after Easter. Slaughter of the animals could not be ruled out at this time. The animal welfare organisation pulled out all the stops to save the pigs’ young lives. Those involved spared no effort and no distance – the aim was to save lives.

When we received the request from Gut Aiderbichl, we weren’t sure whether the pigs could be expected to travel a distance of around 1000 kilometres. So once across the whole of Germany.

"There are only two ways of looking at the world: Either you believe that nothing in the world is a miracle, or that there is nothing but miracles."

Albert Einstein

Dieter Ehrengruber and the Gut Aiderbichl team always want to believe in miracles. In the past, this belief has very often made it possible to help animals in need and give them a long life under the protection of Gut Aiderbichl.

So we decided to offer our help and agreed to give three pigs a home at Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf. Overjoyed, the animal welfare organisation organised everything that was needed and got Wolfgang, Amadeus and Mozart on their way.

On arrival at Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf, the three were initially shy and reserved. But we already have the impression that the three boys have realised that nothing will happen to them here in the care of the Aiderbichlers, that they will always have a clean bed, good food and loving care. Every day a little more, they turn to our carers and offer us their friendship.

We are grateful that we were able to help on behalf of Gut Aiderbichler and offer the minipigs a perspective and a future. None of this would ever be possible without the people who support us so generously. On behalf of our 8000 rescued animals, we would like to say thank you to all Aiderbichlers and look forward to welcoming you to one of the estates we visit.
