Alex belonged to a group of four ponies whose owner wanted to keep their place on her farm after her death in her will. What happened after her death is a mystery. One day we received a tip-off that the four ponies were on a death transport to one of the notorious piecework slaughterhouses in southern Europe. At the last minute, we were able to rescue them and place them under our lifelong protection. Alex first needed veterinary care before he moved to Gut Aiderbichl because he had injured himself. Now he is enjoying his life in safety - together with his best friend Schecky.
