Laura's mother came to Gut Aiderbichl under dramatic circumstances. An animal rights activist had rescued them from the slaughterhouse and placed them with a farmer. The farm insisted that the animals be taken away immediately. The desperate woman was totally overwhelmed by the situation and didn't know what to do. Michael Aufhauser agreed to take in the five animals after the woman described the situation to him. A few weeks later, we found out why the owner was pushing for the animals to be moved: the goats were pregnant... Laura was born at Gut Aiderbichl together with her twin brother Luca.
