Lisa and Lotta were rescued by animal lovers and taken in. Initially, the project was to end in a well-functioning sanctuary and be managed accordingly. But the animal lovers realized that it is not so easy to keep a sanctuary alive. They changed the concept and the sanctuary became a riding stud for horses - there was no more room for Lisa and Lotte. The owners also found it very difficult to provide the animals with adequate medical care. A volunteer found out that the two donkey ladies were to leave the farm and struggled to find a good place for them. Her efforts to nurse them back to health should not have been in vain. She found what she was looking for at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf!
